Lil’ Pocket Of Fabulous Celebrates with its own Custom Polish

My blog has been going now for around 2 months and I am so very proud of it and what I have achieved with it so far, I wanted to do something to celebrate getting this far and to mark the opening of ‘Lil’ Pocket Of Fabulous’ so Caroline from Lacquester very kindly agreed to make me a custom polish and here she is in all of her glory.

I am over joyed with my lil’ bottle of champagne as I call it and I am extremely grateful to Caroline for this lil’ bottle of magic 😀

She has a pinkish lavender base with copper shimmer and oodles of Unicorn Pee pigment 😀

All my photos were taken in both ‘Dads Place’ and outdoors with natural daylight and full sunlight.

Moon Child

Moon Child is such a pretty colour and Vanessa makes such gorgeous flakie polishes. This polish is part of the Opalescent Collection.

My swatch photos show 3 thin coats and please remember with flakie polishes it is very important to allow them to dry fully between each coat to avoid dragging those flakes. I topped it off with Seche Vite for that shine.

This is the first time I am using my new lighting system and light box in the studio, anyone who follows me already will know that I am a lover of natural daylight but unfortunately with the Autumn and Winter months here in the UK natural light is impossible for swatching so I have invested in the best system I can find within my budget so please be aware that this is artificial daylight you are seeing here and most future swatches will be photographed this way until the Spring with the exception of any bright enough days in between where I will revert to natural light if it is possible.

All photos are taken in the studio in ‘Dads Place’

River (Thermal)

WOW, so Tonic have made three Thermal polishes, unfortunately at the moment I do not have the third one but I can share two of the three with you here.

The first up is the beautiful ‘River’ this polish is described as a medium vibrant lavender purple to bright blue shifting thermal base with red to green shifting shimmer flecks.

Here I used only two coats which is fantastic for a thermal polish, you may need three coats depending on your application. I topped it off with Seche Vite.

I really do adore this polish as I am a thermal lover anyway but these colours in particular are stunning and in the sunshine just wow 😀

All photos were taken in ‘Dads Place’ with natural daylight and outdoors in natural sunlight.

Mortal Coil

**** PR SAMPLE ****

So here I write for the very first time from the beginning my wonderful relationship with Lacquester, it all began on September 1st 2018 when I posted and ISO Post for some polishes in a new european destash group, to be honest I didn’t expect a response as I had searched for sometime for them, then my lovely friend Adi tagged me within minutes bringing my attention to the wonderful Caroline’s response to my post where she offered me one of the polishes that I had been searching for.

After chatting for sometime she recognised my little polish cart photos and offered to send me both ‘Mortal Coil’ and ‘Batteries Included’ to swatch for her, I am so so honoured to have this opportunity and will be eternally grateful to her for noticing my swatch photos and for seeing the potential within me. Caroline is the first large well known Indie brand to give me this huge break and I cannot thank her enough for having the confidence in me to produce good swatch photos because lets face it it’s a tough business to get into with hefty competition so I would like it known to all that I owe this wonderful lady so much. Thank you Caroline ❤

Mortal Coil is a dusty blue based polish that has multichrome colour shifting pigments that shift from red to gold and orange to green it also has tiny holographic glitter.

My swatch photos show 2 coats plus Seche Vite top coat, photos were taken in ‘Dads Place’ with natural daylight and outdoors in natural sunlight.

I hope you enjoy these photos as much as I enjoyed taking them. Mortal Coil is available both in Caroline’s store and in the US/Canada and worldwide via Color4nails and all information can be found on my ‘Indie Polish Brands Information & Links page.

Vaudeville Venom

Vaudeville Venom was part of the ‘Road to Polish Con’ Series week one in the summer of 2017, it is a medium warm leaning purple cream with a green to fuchsia shifting multichrome shimmer. This polish was on my (ISO) In Search Of list for a while and then one day a wonderful lady offered me hers, thank you 😉

Shown here was 2 coats for me and it went on like a dream, I topped it off with Seche Vite, photos taken both inside ‘Dads Place’ with natural light and outdoors in direct natural sunlight.

It is a stunning polish and if it isn’t on your ISO then you need to add it because you will not be disappointed.

The Fallen

**** PR SAMPLE ****

The Fallen is from P.O.P Polish and is part of the Falling Leaves Thermal Collection, here I used 2 coats with a floating seche top coat, the formula is a little thin for me so remember to build it up with thinner coats. The maker describes it as an amazing grape violet transitioning to about 2 shades above lavender.

Photos taken in ‘Dads Place’ with natural daylight.
