Moon Child

Moon Child is such a pretty colour and Vanessa makes such gorgeous flakie polishes. This polish is part of the Opalescent Collection.

My swatch photos show 3 thin coats and please remember with flakie polishes it is very important to allow them to dry fully between each coat to avoid dragging those flakes. I topped it off with Seche Vite for that shine.

This is the first time I am using my new lighting system and light box in the studio, anyone who follows me already will know that I am a lover of natural daylight but unfortunately with the Autumn and Winter months here in the UK natural light is impossible for swatching so I have invested in the best system I can find within my budget so please be aware that this is artificial daylight you are seeing here and most future swatches will be photographed this way until the Spring with the exception of any bright enough days in between where I will revert to natural light if it is possible.

All photos are taken in the studio in ‘Dads Place’

The stunning Stardust from Illyrian Polish is from the Opalescent Collection and is described as a blue tinted holo sparkle base, containing holo and ultra holo glitters with teal to green to blue and purple to pink to gold iridescent shifting flakes.

I always used to shy away from any polish with glitters and flakes because a few years ago I remember just how difficult these were to remove but Illyrian have cracked it with these polishes, I had no trouble to remove this polish myself but if you are wary there are so many different choices of peel off base coats you can try so please don’t let these gorgeous glitters and flakes put you off as this is one stunning polish.

My swatch photos show 2 coats plus Seche Vite top coat, couldn’t you just dive straight in to this baby 🙂
