If anyone had told me a year ago that I would be sitting in my dads old garage which I simply call ‘Dads Place’ in the U.K writing a nail blog at the age of 53 I would have said no way, how! but here I am finding myself doing exactly that thanks to some lovely polish sisters within the nail community who helped me to realise that I can do it. When those beautiful people read this blog they will know who they are and I am truly grateful for their encouragement and such kind comments to my posts, also for their private messages offering help, guidance and support should I need it.

I would like to also take the time to thank my family, my husband who, lets face it puts up with me and my polish hobby, my son who so kindly helped me with the wonderful name for this blog and should take full credit and my daughter who has helped me by promoting my IG and has given me some tips in photography to better my skills, my mum for allowing me to take over dads garage and to my dad whom I miss every single day as without them all and their love as a family I would not be the happy person I am today.

I want this to be my go to happy place somewhere to come to share my love for Indie polish somewhere to share my photography and my thoughts. On my swatch pages you will see I mention ‘Dads Place’ this is where I spend most of my time, I swatch, photograph and blog here, this is where I feel most close to him.

Please enjoy my photos and please give me credit should you share them amongst friends, if you would like to use them for any other purposes then please contact me first and please check my IG for many older swatch photos if interested as to get this blog started I will only be sharing my last 20 or so recent manis and then I can begin to share my latest with you all.

I know through experience that life can be tough at times but try to be happy because we only get one life that we know of.

  5. Paula, your excitement for indies oozes throughout the page. It’s tangible as it’s palpable. I know the joy polish can bring. “Dad’s Place” is your magical painting, stop here to see a showstopper showcasing type of place. Here’s to many mind-blowing manis!!     1. Tamara, would you believe that right now I need a tissue because the tears are freely flowing. I’m sitting in ‘Dads Place’ with the fairy lights on and the scented candles burning, sitting in almost darkness at my keyboard and can barely see what I am typing through my tears gently rolling down my cheeks after reading your comment. Thank you so much for suggesting I could even do this, thank you for your support and encouragement and thank you for your touching words, they mean so much and Dad would be so proud. I am so happy to have you come along on this journey with me, all aboard for ‘Dads Place’ ❤
